Typical reply within one working day. Tell me the filename and what the app did instead of what you expected; it makes this much faster.

Where's my licence key?

After checkout, the license will be sent to your email. Check your Junk folder or reach out to us if it never arrives.

The questions we get most

If yours isn't here, email it in and we'll add it.

Only if you use the Compress stage and choose to. Track and rename changes don't touch the video or audio streams themselves.

By default, your original files are kept intact. There's an option to overwrite them instead, if you'd rather FileVerdict work in place, but nothing is overwritten unless you turn that on.

Caption density and timing patterns against the other tracks in the same file, cross-checked with language matching.

Yes, at two points. Once to activate your licence key, and briefly at least every 14 days after that to recheck it. It also looks up metadata from OMDb by default, or TMDB if you add your own free API key, when matching a filename in the Organise tab. No other third-party connections.

Yes, the flags it sets are read correctly by all three.

Three, by default. We don't currently offer extra device add-ons, but get in touch if you need more.

Not yet. It's being worked on now and is next on the roadmap. Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit, is the only supported platform today.

An encode can't be undone. By default, though, your original files aren't touched, so the originals stay exactly where they were until you delete them yourself.

No. FileVerdict uses OMDb by default; no extra setup needed. If you'd rather use TMDB, add your own free TMDB API key in Settings. We do plan to add native TMDB integration once we get the funds to get a commercial key.

The Organise tab shows the match it's found automatically. If it's wrong, you can run a new search from the same screen and pick the right one yourself.

Contact us first; most problems can be fixed. If we can't sort it out, you can get a refund within 14 days of purchase.
